Fire Forces Residents From Route 88 Home In Lakewood: Reports
The fire prompted the closure of Route 88 between Route 9 and New Hampshire Avenue for a few hours, according to the reports.

LAKEWOOD, NJ — Several people were forced from a Lakewood home early Tuesday when a fire ripped through the building on Route 88, according to reports.
The fire at the home on Route 88 near Clover Street broke out shortly before 2 a.m., The Lakewood Scoop reported.
The number of people affected was not clear. The Lakewood Scoop reported it was 10 people, but NJ.com quoted Lakewood Fire Chief Michael D'Elia Jr. as saying six people from three families were affected.

The American Red Cross was assisting the residents, the reports said.
Route 88 was closed between Route 9 and New Hampshire Avenue for part of Tuesday morning while authorities investigated, NJ101.5 reported.
