Foul Play Not Suspected In Lakewood Woman's Death: Prosecutor

Toxicology results are still awaited in the death of the woman whose identity was revealed Sunday.

LAKEWOOD, NJ — A Lakewood woman who was found dead in a Monmouth Avenue apartment on Friday has been identified, and authorities say foul play is not suspected in her death.

The investigation into the death of Lina Stanevicius, 46, is continuing, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said Sunday in a news release. Authorities are awaiting results of toxicology tests, he said.

An autopy conducted Saturday found there was no trauma to Stanevicius's body. She was found Friday morning in the apartment off Route 88 in Lakewood.

"Based on the autopsy that was performed yesterday, we do not suspect any foul play at this time," Billhimer said.

Lakewood police, the prosecutor's office and the Ocean County sheriff's department investigated.
