Lakewood Woman Seriously Hurt In Brick Boulevard Crash: Police
A Toms River teen suffered a minor injury in the crash Saturday, police said.

BRICK, NJ — A Lakewood woman was seriously injured Saturday morning in a crash that shut down part of Brick Boulevard at Bay Harbor Plaza for more than two hours, police said.
Toni Mancini, 61, of Lakewood, was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, with head and leg injuries following the crash, which happened about 10:35 a.m., Brick Sgt. Neal Pedersen said.
Mancini was southbound on Brick Boulevard in a 2012 Honda Civic and was making a left turn into Bay Harbor Plaza when she crossed into the path of a 2006 Dodge Durango driven by Keith Maceira, 18, of Toms River, who was driving north.

Mancini was transported by the Brick Township Police Department’s Emergency Medical Services along with MONOC paramedics. Maceira complained of wrist pain but refused medical treatment, Pedersen said.
Traffic was detoured for about 2-1/2 hours during the on-scene investigation, he said.

Patrolman Jay Halley, Patrolman Robert Koch and Sgt. Josh Jenssen responded to the crash. The Brick Township Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit and Detective Brian Lash from the township's ID Unit responded to the scene to investigate the crash along with the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.
The crash remains under investigation by the prosecutor's office along with Pedersen and Patrolman Keith Donnelly of the Traffic Safety Unit.
Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who has information pertaining to the crash is asked to call the Traffic Safety Office at 732-262-1140.
