See September, October dates (njtoday.com) — Lakewood residents can get in‑person help applying for NJ ANCHOR and Senior Freeze property tax relief at two local sessions on October 14 and October 25. State staff will be at The Square on 3rd Street and at 36 Shefa Chaim Avenue to review income documents and tax bills before the November 2 filing deadline, helping homeowners and renters maximize their benefits.
   

• UPDATE: Half of the Remaining Primary Girls Have Been Placed in Schools (thelakewoodscoop.com) — Community advocates report that about half of the 21 remaining Lakewood primary-school girls without school placements have now been accepted, leaving roughly 10 still waiting. • JUST IN: New Jersey Loses Appeal For $84 Million In FEMA Blizzard Aid, Leaving Lakewood Short Another $6.5 Million (thelakewoodscoop.com) — Lakewood Township is losing an expected $6.5 million in FEMA reimbursement after the federal government upheld its denial of New Jersey's blizzard aid appeal, deepening the town's deficit. Officials say the township spent about $8 million on snow removal, and the shortfall has already contributed to cuts in subsidies for student transportation, with residents likely to feel further financial strain.
