Pedestrian Injured On Route 9 In Lakewood: Reports
Route 9 is closed in the area while the incident is under investigation, police said.
LAKEWOOD, NJ — A pedestrian suffered serious injuries Sunday after being hit by a vehicle on Route 9 in Lakewood, according to reports.
Route 9 is closed between 5th and 6th streets until further notice while authorities investigate the accident, Lakewood police said in a Nixle alert about 6:15 p.m.
The incident happened on Route 9 near 5th Street, and Route 9 — Madison Avenue in that section of the township — was closed, the Lakewood News Network reported.

The Lakewood Scoop reported the pedestrian was seriously injured.
The extent of the person's injuries and the person's identity were not immediately available.
