Shooting Report Leaves Lakewood Police With Casings, No Victim
Police are searching for who may have fired the weapons and any possible injured parties.

LAKEWOOD, NJ — Lakewood police are investigating a shooting that left them with shell casings but little to tie them to either the shooters or the victim or victims.
Police were called to Pine Acres Estates about 1:15 a,m. Monday for a report of shots fired, Lakewood Capt. Gregory Staffordsmith said.
Officers located 13 shell casings on Erica Road, he said. Those involved fled prior to the arrival of police, but area residents reported that a group of five to six Hispanic males were seen running from the area after hearing the gunfire. How or if they are involved was not known, Staffordsmith said.
