Truck Driver Threatened To Shoot, Tried To Run Down Ocean Co. Grocery Store Employee: PD
A dispute over a stock cart led to the truck driver trying to hit the employee with his truck at the Evergreen Kosher Market, police said.

LAKEWOOD, NJ β A truck driver has been arrested Tuesday after he threatened to shoot employees and tried to hit one with his box truck during a dispute at a Lakewood supermarket, police said.
Christopher Borker, 24, of Brooklyn, is set to be charged with terroristic threats, aggravated assault and will be issued a ticket for reckless driving, Lakewood Capt. Gregory Stafffordsmith said.
Staffordsmith said Borker was delivering supplies at Evergreen Kosher Market on Route 9 about 9:30 a.m. when he got into an argument with a 45-year-old store employee over a "u-boat," a cart with tall handles at each end used for moving boxes and goods, particularly in stores.

Borker tried to take the cart from a store employee who was using it at the time, Staffordsmith said, and as the altercation escalated, Borker threatened to get a gun and shoot the employees, he said.
Borker then returned to his truck and tried to hit at least one employee who was in the parking lot, Staffordsmith said.

Videos published by The Lakewood Scoop show the truck speeding through the parking lot at Evergreen Kosher Market then turning around and coming back, swerving slightly toward parked cars on one side where people were standing.
Borker was arrested at the scene without incident, he said.
"Thankfully no one was injured during this reckless act and no firearm was found," Staffordsmith said.
The investigation is continuing but Staffordsmith said police so far have found nothing to indicate the dispute or Borker's actions were motivated by race or religion.
Anyone with additional information is asked to contact Detective Michael Dennis Jr. at 732-363-0200, ext. 5348.
