1 Killed, 2 Injured In Mercer County Shooting: Prosecutor

Shaquan Brown, 23, suffered from a gunshot wound to the back of his head, authorities said. The investigation is ongoing.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — One person was killed and two others injured in a shooting that took place Sunday night in Trenton, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said Monday.

Around 8:10 p.m., June 11, the Mercer County Homicide Task Force responded to Donnelly Homes, on Willow Avenue, on a report of shots fired. On arrival, officers found Shaquan Brown, 23, suffering from a gunshot wound to the back of his head. He was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center for treatment, Onofri said.

He was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly thereafter. Two other victims were located with gunshot wounds to the leg, authorities said.

No arrests have been made. The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Trenton Police Department are investigating.
