Following its May 4, 2019 victory over the New England Bobcats, the Jersey Flight professional indoor football team (in the American Arena League) will have its first home game on May 11, 2019 at the Cure Insurance Arena – in the heart of Trenton, New Jersey.
This family-friendly, fast-paced showdown will be preceded by a ‘first of its kind’ RUN JUMP FLIGHT kids’ competition. The young athletes will compete in four miniature versions of the performance contests used by the NFL to evaluate prospects. The RUN JUMP FLIGHT version of the events will include a 20-yard dash, the broad jump, shuttle run, and vertical jump. The kids will be competing in three age groups: 7 – 8 years old, 9 - 10 years old, and 11 – 12 years old. A boy and a girl winner from each age group will be announced during the game’s halftime festivities. Coach Snead of All In Performance Training will be coordinating the competition, with the assistance of Jersey Flight players and dancers of the “First Class Flight Team (FCFT)” – members of the FCFT are all from the Capital City Region. Parents and guardians of the competitors are asked to pre-register online at www.jerseyflightfootball.com.
Jay Sababu, Trenton native and New Flight Enterprises, LLC owner, which operates Jersey Flight football, sees this competition as an opportunity to be an exhibition of future talent. He, along with his management team, is focused on the Jersey Flight organization bringing new, exciting, and rewarding experiences to the region’s greatest commodity which are its children.
