2 Brothers Charged With Murder After Mercer Man Shot Dead At Home: Prosecutor

The men were taken into custody on Friday in Hamilton. Last week, officials found Donnell Williams dead in the apartment's living room.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — Two brothers have been charged with murder and other offenses in connection with the shooting death of Donnell Williams of Trenton, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said Monday.

Leon Mack, 31, of Hamilton, was charged with murder, burglary, and multiple weapons offenses. His brother, Prince Mack, 29, of Trenton, faces the same charges as an accomplice for transporting his brother to Williams’ residence, Onofri said. The men were taken into custody on Friday at Leon Mack’s Hamilton home by members of the Mercer County Tactical Response Team, HTF and the Trenton Police, Onofri said.

Around 4:07 p.m. on Jan. 16, Trenton police responded to an apartment in the 100 block of South Overbrook Avenue on a report of an unresponsive man. On arrival, officers found Williams, 29 on the living room floor with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The prosecutor’s office has filed motions to detain both men pending trial.
