AAA: Nation's Oldest and Largest Antique Auto Tour Explores NJ
Hamilton, NJ, (September 22, 2022) - The 76th Revival AAA Glidden Tour®, the oldest and largest annual antique automobile tour, is heading to Princeton to explore New Jersey’s Revolutionary roads. The week-long tour will be based at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and will feature more than 100 vintage vehicles all made prior to 1943. The tour will kick off on Sunday September 25th and run through September 30th.
Each day during the tour, participants will travel on pre-selected routes from Princeton to explore New Jersey’s Revolutionary War battlefields and other significant locations that helped secure America’s independence.
New Jersey played a central and crucial role in the events of the Revolutionary War. Due to its location, more battles were fought in New Jersey than in any of the other colonies. Throughout the state, there are various reminders of that history, several of which will be visited on the tour, including:

- Washington Crossing
- Monmouth Battlefield
- Roebling Museum
- Princeton Battlefield
Tour goers will travel approximately 100 miles round trip daily to experience the scenic highways and the many covered bridges, barns and stone homes found on both sides of the Delaware River in New Jersey and beautiful Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

The original AAA Glidden Tour®, which ran from 1904 to 1913, was held to demonstrate the reliability of the automobile as basic transportation, to encourage the development of safe roads and dependable driving information, including maps and signage, and to encourage the expansion of other automotive-related services. During that time, an evolution began to take place on our nation’s roadways, as consumers became more aware of the benefits of the horseless carriage. The AAA Glidden Tour® served as a catalyst for these changes in the transportation industry. AAA is proud to host this year’s 76th edition of the tour.
