2. Lawrence To Mark Nation's 250th With Fireworks, Live Music At Rider U. (patch.com) — Lawrenceville residents can celebrate the nation’s 250th anniversary on July 1 with fireworks, live music, and family activities at Rider University. The evening features Jake's Rockin Country Band, kids’ entertainment, a strolling Benjamin Franklin character, food trucks, and glow-stick sales supporting the local Fireworks Fund, with a rain date set for July 2.

Competing against college athletes in Oregon, she placed fourth and added to a resume that already includes the overall state 5,000 record and a recent 3,200 state mark.
