Boiling Water Advisory In Effect For Lawrence Township
Trenton Water Works has issued a boil water advisory that impacts Lawrence Township, officials announced Friday morning.
LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ — Trenton Water Works has issued a boil water advisory that impacts Lawrence Township, officials announced Friday morning. Chlorination levels are too low due to an equipment malfunction in the water distribution system. Trenton Water Works officials are working to fix the problem.
Lawrence Township residents should bring tap water to a rolling boil for one minute and allow the tap water to cool before using, or use bottled water, effective immediately until further notice.
Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, preparing foods, mixing baby formula, food, juices or drinks, washing vegetables and fruit, making ice, brushing teeth, and washing dishes until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water. Residents can continue to wash hands and bathe as normal.
