College Field Hockey: Rider's Schneider NEC Player of the Week
Senior Marlaine Schneider of the Rider University field hockey team was named the Northeast Conference Player of the Week for all games Oct. 1-7 it was announced Monday afternoon (Oct. 8).

SOMERSET - Senior Marlaine Schneider (Feasterville, Pa./Neshaminy) of the Rider University field hockey team was named the Northeast Conference Player of the Week for all games Oct. 1-7 it was announced Monday afternoon (Oct. 8).
A 5-6 forward and team captain, Schneider had two goals and an assist for the week including the game-winner in overtime as Rider (8-4, 1-0 NEC) defeated Robert Morris University 5-4 on Sunday.
Schneider gave Rider a 1-0 lead at RMU at the 13:50 mark of the first half.

Against Columbia on Oct. 3, in a 3-2 Bronc loss, Schneider assisted on the first goal of the game.
Schneider has six goals and three assists this season and her 98 career points (33g, 32a) are 10th best on Rider's all-time scoring list.

Winners of 24 NEC regular season contests in a row, Rider travels to Connecticut for a pair of conference games, visiting Sacred Heart on Oct. 12 and Quinnipiac on Oct. 14.
