College Indoor Track and Field: IC4As/ECACs Day 2
The Rider men's and women's indoor track and field teams participated in the IC4A / ECAC Championships hosted by Boston University this weekend (March 2-3).

BOSTON, Mass. - The Rider men's and women's indoor track and field teams participated in the IC4A / ECAC Championships hosted by Boston University this weekend (March 2-3).
On Sunday for the Rider women, sophomore Emily Ritter (Millsboro, Del./Sussex Tech) finished fourth in the 1 mile run in Rider record time of 4:50.01 and was a medalist to earn All-East recognition.
For the Rider men, junior Steven Brown (Penns Grove) was 20th in the long jump (6.58m) and sophomore George Solujich (East Windsor/Notre Dame) was 30th in the shot put (14.82m). S. Brown earned All-East honors on Saturday in the triple jump after earning All-East in the long jump as a sophomore.

Also for the Rider women, senior Megan Elgin (Doylestown, Pa/Central Bucks East) was 18th in the 3000 meter run (9:59.03), freshman Dashana Ransome (Irvington) was 21st in the long jump (5.00m) and senior Mia Riley (West Caldwell/James Caldwell) was 22nd in shot put (11.51m).
The women’s distance-medley relay team of senior Paige McAtee (Massapequa Park, N.Y./Massapequa), sophomore Ashley Edwards (Westfield), freshman Madeline Hummel (Marlton, N.J./Holy Cross) and senior Jillian Shutt (Lawrenceville, Pa./Williamson) placed 11th in 12:06.61.

The NCAA Indoor Championships will be held March 8-9 in Fayetteville, Arkansas for qualifiers and both the Rider men and women will compete in the VCU Ram Invite on March 16 to open the 2013 outdoor season.
