College Volleyball: Rider’s Moorman Honored by the MAAC
Freshman Nicole Moorman of the Rider University volleyball team was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week, it was announced Monday afternoon (Oct. 15).
EDISON — Freshman Nicole Moorman (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area HS) of the Rider University volleyball team was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week, it was announced Monday afternoon (Oct. 15).
Moorman, an Elementary Education major, was honored for all matches Oct. 8-14.
A 6-1, middle hitter, Moorman averaged 1.62 kills and 0.62 blocks per set while compiling a .323 attack percentage on the week.

Moorman recorded eight kills and three blocks at Siena on Oct. 14 after compiling five kills and two blocks at Marist on Oct. 13.
For the season in 76 sets, Moorman is averaging 1.21 kills and 0.50 blocks per set with a .233 attack percentage.

The Broncs travel to Saint Peter’s University on Oct. 17 for a MAAC match at 7 p.m. Rider hosts MAAC-rival Loyola University Maryland on Saturday in Alumni Gymnasium in the annual Dig Pink match at 1 p.m.
