Lawrence Lightning 95lb Team Rolls to 2nd Consecutive Victory
Lawrence Lightning Football 95lb Team Victorious Again!
Stifling defense and a punishing ground game were keys to the Lawrence Lightning 95lb squad’s 2nd win in as many weeks over a tough St. Peter’s team. Fullback Dominick “The Dominator” Prawdzik had a career day with multiple long runs up the middle as the Lightning ground game was strong all day. Half back Bryon Hearst scored on a right sweep to put the Lightning ahead early in the 2nd quarter. It was Hearst’s 4th touchdown this year.
The Lightning defense buckled down. Defensive coordinator Bryan Carter called an outside linebacker blitz which got Matt Kildea a blind-side sack of the unsuspecting St. Peter’s QB. Savyion McEachem had another stellar defensive performance recording several tackles. Defensive tackles Conner Verga and Jarred Vinch left little room for the opposing running backs, both making multiple backfield tackles.
In the 4th quarter Lightning QB Nabil Hachicha hit Kildea, playing tight end,on a slant pattern for a 15 yard gain. A few plays later Hachicha ran a sneak for the score. He passed to Kildea again for the conversion to put the Lightning up 13-0.

The Saints offense tried one last effort to earn a score with a 15 yard pass to their wide out. That is all the offense they would muster as the Lightning defense would not allow another yard.
At 2-1 the Lightning 95's are tied for 2nd place in the West Jersey Youth Football League. The 95lb team travels to Haddon Township this Saturday, 10/6 at 5pm where they will attemp to extend their streak to 3 wins.
