Lawrenceville moms give to the Mount Carmel Guild

It isn't everyday that we think of strangers around the corner in need that can be helped through simple gestures.  Recently, a small group of Ben Franklin Elementary School moms, joined forces to give back to a neighboring organization, the Mount Carmel Guild.  The Mount Carmel Guild is an organization that has been assisting those in need in Mercer County since 1920. This organization helps families or individuals, regardless of race or religion, who are unable to afford basic needs, such as food, medical care, or housing. They are currently providing emergency assistance to 8,000 families and in 2012, Mount Carmel Guild provided 2,130 in-home health care visits to elderly patients in need. They are also the only organization that provides this free service in Mercer County.
The Lawrenceville moms got together to support this organization, so that they can continue to assist fellow neighbors.  A special thanks to the following Lawrenceville moms for their generous donations: Michele Bowes, Anna White, Dawn Sanjek, Jenn Byrnes, Lindsey Bohra, Ivy Cohen, Cricket Allen, Melissa Przelski, Chrissy Neuger, Suzanne Maloney, Vanessa Kelley, and Kerri Penders.  Collectively they gathered 650 dollars for this wonderful organization.  If you are interested in donating please call (609) 392-5159 ext 112 or 110 or visit mtcarmelguild.org.
