Lawrenceville, husband and wife jazz duo, Darla and Rich Tarpinian welcomed the invitation from Program Director, Robert Kull, to include their quartet in the April jazz series. For this performance, Darla (upright bass/vocals) and Rich (guitar/vocals) will be joined by David Stier (drums) and Jim Stagnitto (trumpet) who both reside in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
The quartet will present “It’s All Jazz: from Bop to Pop”. The program will include jazz standards and will apply elements of jazz to more recently written popular songs. After their performance for the Princeton Public Library Local Music Series, Program Director, Shelly Hawk said “PPL was so happy we could host “It’s All Jazz: from Bop to Pop”. It was a perfect program selection for the Princeton community. The crowd on Hinds Plaza was a good size and many people commented [on] how much they enjoyed the outdoor concert.”
