Free Screening of "A Race Against Time - Shorebirds, Horseshoe Crabs, and Hurricane Sandy"

Documentary about efforts to restore beaches and protect at-risk wildlife species following Hurricane Sandy. Public is invited!

Washington Crossing Audubon Society will host a free, public screening of the film “A Race against Time – Shorebirds, Horseshoe Crabs, and Hurricane Sandy” at 8 PM on Monday, October 19 in Stainton Hall of the Pennington School in Pennington, NJ. This 30-minute film documents the ambitious campaign by Conserve Wildlife Foundation, American Littoral Society, and other partners to restore Delaware Bayshore beaches decimated in 2012 by Superstorm Sandy. The film will be followed by an update from a conserve Wildlife Foundation representative of ongoing project measures to ensure that the at-risk horseshoe crabs and migratory shorebirds such as the Red Knot are able to continue to use the Delaware Bayshore to survive and, in the future, thrive.

The film will be preceded by 5-minute reports by 2015 recipients of Holden Fund grants.
