Galyna Rozental and Inessa Gleyzerova Shindel, Piano and Flute

Inessa Gleyzerova Shindel, a faculty member of Westminster Conservatory, will perform on Sunday, November 9, at Jacobs Music in Lawrenceville, joined by flutist-pianist Galyna Rozental.

A social hour with refreshments and conversation with the musicians will follow their performance.

Ms. Gleyzerova Shindel, who also serves as artistic director of the Music-Fest Rising Talents Festival, received a Master’s Degree in Music from Belorussian Academy of Music, Minsk. Her performances in the United States have included solo recitals at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall and Kosciuszko Foundation Hall, and chamber music recitals at Merkin Concert Hall in New York City. “Performing Liszt’s Mephisto Waltz, Ms. Gleyzerova delivered a darting, fast paced, volatile account, somewhat reminiscent of that given by the young Vladimir Ashkenasy,” wrote New York Concert Review critic Harris Goldsmith. “Her overall performance had great momentum and spin.”

Ms. Rozental, a flutist, pianist, and accompanist in the New Jersey/New York area, has played concerts in Switzerland, Israel, Germany, and New York. Formerly a flutist with the Kyiv Academic Municipal Orchestra, Ukraine, she currently offers private lessons in flute and piano in the Princeton area. With Ms. Gleyzerova Shindel she is a co-founder and co-artistic director of Music-Fest Company, which performs annually in Princeton, Philadelphia, and New York.

The program will include works by Chaminade, Chabrier, and Faure, among others, for flute and piano, piano solo, and piano duo.
