Addtionally, Mercer County officials are reminding residents who use and store pool chemicals to take proper safety precautions as swimming pools begin to open in preparation for the summer.
“These are hazardous materials that must be handled with great care,” Mercer County Executive Brian Hughes said. “Anyone operating or maintaining a pool should be trained in pool chemical safety to protect themselves and swimmers from possible injury.”
