How Lawrenceville Ranks Among NJ's 'Best' Places To Live
Niche released its annual rankings of the 2023 Best Places to Live in America. Here's how Lawrenceville fared:
LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ — Lawrenceville was recently ranked 83rd among the best places to live in NJ, according to a new ranking released this week by Niche.
The township was ranked No 6 in Mercer County. Neighboring Princeton was ranked No. 2 in NJ.
The list ranked 228 cities and 17,932 towns and neighborhoods. To compile it, Niche used federal data from the Census Bureau, FBI, Labor Bureau and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as reviews from residents.

They consider factors like affordability, the local housing market, neighborhood diversity, the quality of public schools, crime, and walkability.
Niche also breaks down community grades into 12 subcategories.

Lawrenceville scored an overall grade of A. The Municipality received the lowest grade in cost of living, earning a C+.

Niche has been releasing Best Places to Live rankings for almost a decade, including more than 18,000 communities in its latest iteration.
