Inauguration for New Rider University President Set for Friday

Lawrenceville, NJ -- Dr. Gregory G. Dell’Omo will become the seventh president of Rider University during an inauguration ceremony in Alumni Gym on the college’s campus mall on Friday, April 8, 2:30 p.m.

Dell’Omo was born in Rumson, and spent the last decade as the president of Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, PA.

He has also held academic positions at Canisius College as an Assistant Professor, and at Saint Joseph’s University, where he was the Dean of the Haub School of Business and vice president for external affairs.

n his short time at Rider, Dell’Omo has initiated a comprehensive Strategic Planning Process, which will guide and shape the future direction of the University, college officials said.

Following the installation ceremony, a campus reception will take place in the Student Recreation Center, and the evening will conclude with Rider Rock Fest, a new campus tradition that will include live music, food and a bonfire on the Campus Green.
