Lawrence Town Hall Glows In Rainbow Colors All Month In Honor Of Pride
Councilwomen Amanda Santos and Bonne Giglio say the display reflects the township's commitment to inclusion for LGBTQ+ residents.
LAWRENCE, NJ — Town Hall is glowing in rainbow colors this month as Lawrence Township marks June as Pride Month with a light display that will run through June 30.
The township illuminated the building beginning the evening of June 13, with the display intended as a visible symbol of support for LGBTQ+ residents, families and neighbors.
"I've always believed that local government works best when every resident feels seen, valued, and welcome," said Councilwoman Amanda Santos. "Lighting Town Hall this Pride Month is our way of saying to our LGBTQ+ neighbors: we're glad you're here, and this community is yours too."

The display coincides with a Pride Month resolution expected to come before the Township Council at its June 18 meeting.
