Lawrence Township Election 2021: Who's Running, How To Vote

The election is on Nov. 2. Check out our voter guide for all the details before you cast your ballot.

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ —This fall, there will be elections for the town council and school board in Lawrenceville.

This year, early voting will be available for the election. Early voting will begin from Oct. 23 to 31, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Mondays through Saturdays, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays. Those who participate in early voting won't be allowed to send a mail-in ballot or vote in person on Election Day.

Registered voters also have the option to vote-by-mail. County officials have already sent out mail-in ballots to voters who automatically get one each year, or those who have requested one.

  • 930 Spruce Street at the Board of Elections Office
  • Lawrence Municipal Building, 2207 Lawrenceville Road.

All drop boxes are accessible 24 hours a day, and all of them are subject to video surveillance and other security measures.

Voters will also have the option of going to the polls on Election Day. Registered voters can go to their polling place, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and cast their ballots. The state has made accommodations for voters with disabilities. To find your polling station, visit the Mercer County website.

Who's On The Ballot:

Gov. Phil Murphy is facing a challenge from Republican nominee, Jack Ciattarelli, as well as Madelyn Hoffman of the Green Party of New Jersey, Gregg Mele of the New Jersey Libertarian Party, and Joanne Kuniansky of the Socialist Workers Party.

In NJ District 15, which includes Ewing, Hopewell, Lawrence, Pennington, Trenton, and West Windsor, Lawrenceville Democrat Shirley Turner faces a challenge from Republican Susan Gaul of Princeton Junction.

Assemblymembers Verlina Reynolds-Jackson of Trenton and Anthony Verrelli of Pennington are seeking re-election. Challenging them are Republican Patricia Johnson of Lawrenceville and Independent candidate Pedro M. Reyes of Ewing.

Two candidates are running for two available seats on the council — James S. Kownacki and Christopher Bobbitt.
