This year, LMS is excited to announce a new addition to the ‘menu’ blogging with Lawrenceville’s resident and foodie Pat Tanner, author of the “must read” food blog Dine With Pat, former consulting editor for the Zagat New Jersey restaurant guide and contributor of restaurant reviews and features to New Jersey Monthly magazine. Her byline has appeared in the New York Times, Food Network, and South Jersey magazine.
Pat who has been a New Jersey restaurant reviewer for a couple of decades, said, “I love the feeling the Village has. It has it now more than ever and this is very exciting to me. I also find it fascinating that I can get a wonderful selection of artisan foods from all over the state right here.”

Over the course of the evening, ticket-holders will experience the delight of the Village and the culinary skills, specialties and favorites from eleven local eateries. According to Pat, “This event is a bargain because in the space of only a few hours, you get to sample eleven restaurants and interact with the people behind the food. If you were to go to one restaurant and sit down for a meal, you would most likely not get to meet the owners and chefs. At this event, you can meet and talk to people behind it all. That is a huge draw for people like me and other foodies.”
Beyond the dinner itself, guests will be brought together from diverse backgrounds by good taste and a love of food. To get the most out of the dining tour experience, Pat recommends, going online and looking at each of the restaurant menus to find out what you think appeals to you. According to Pat, “Guests will learn more about the restaurants, food and the atmosphere. During the evening, they will be learning even more about what they like. It really is going to be a night of discovery.”
During the evening, Pat will be interacting with guests to provide insights, observations and chatter about the event's food. She will also be interviewing restaurants to learn tips, tricks and insights. Beginning at 4:30 p.m. LMS will be streaming live from the event at facebook.com/LawrencevilleMainStreet.
“Guests can ask me anything during the evening. I am excited about this event because I want to hear from guests as well. I want to know their responses and reactions to the food. What they think are the most exciting ingredients and tastes. I, like the guests, am looking forward to discovering new things. That is what I always like about food writing. I can’t wait for something new and different when it comes to food and dining,” stated Pat.
Tickets are on sale at lawrencevillemainstreet.com and include food from eleven restaurants, a beer from Flying Fish Brewing Co., interviews with Pat Tanner, dancing to Castle Lane, and a goodie bag.
