Nationally, songwriter Jonathan Sprout has earned 26 music awards including a Grammy® nomination for children’s music. Locally, families will have a chance to experience the music and stories live in October and November. Ole’ William Penn, featured in Sprout’s new song, “Come With Me!” is one of the heroes who made it on Sprout’s latest American Heroes #4 CD. Jonathan jokes, “The song made it just in time for William Penn’s 370th birthday which is coming up!”
This year, if William Penn could time travel and arrive at his familiar square in Fallsington, PA, in his birthday month, the enthusiastic Penn could hear Jonathan Sprout’s catchy new song, “Come With Me” that recounts the Statesman’s daring vision when founding Pennsylvania. Jonathan will start off the annual Fallsington Day activities on Saturday, October 11th, performing a mini-concert at 10:00am and signing CDs afterward.
Another mini-concert is planned for William Penn’s 370th Birthday Celebration on Saturday, October 25th in Center City Philadelphia at Arch Street Meetinghouse at 12:30pm.

American Heroes #4 is the newest CD in the award-winning series, which Jonathan Sprout debuted this year at school assembly programs in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, as well as at the industry’s National Conference for Children’s Music in Virginia.
