Lunar New Year Celebration Saturday At Lawrence’s Quaker Bridge Mall

Celebrate the year of the rabbit with dragon dance, games, red envelopes and more

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ — It’s the year of the rabbit and you have the opportunity to celebrate in Lawrence Township.

There will be a Lunar New Year celebration at Quaker Bridge Mall on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The celebration is being held in partnership with the Huxaxia Chinese School. Expect a lot of festive entertainment throughout the afternoon including performances, games, red envelopes and more.

Performances will include the dragon dance, Guzheng, Chinese dance and Chinese folk songs.

Lunar New Year is celebrated throughout many East and Southeast Asian cultures. It usually begins with the arrival of the first new moon of the year, according to History.com.
