Mercer County Battles Snow Storm as More Inclement Weather is Expected

Mercer County is expecting 12-16 inches of snow.

Mercer County crews continue to battle the winter storm hitting the region, and are preparing for more inclement weather set to arrive Monday night.

An army of County plowing crews has been clearing roadways since the storm began Monday afternoon and the County’s Emergency Operations Center is monitoring the storm as it develops, County Executive Brian M. Hughes said Monday afternoon.

“We’ve been able to stay in front of the storm so far, but we are expecting heavier snow and plummeting temperatures later today and into tomorrow,” Hughes said. “It’s imperative that our residents stay home and stay off the roads for their own safety and to let plows and emergency vehicles do their jobs.”
