Mercer County Preschooler Cleared of Enterovirus

A student who attends the same school as a 4-year-old victim of the virus doesn't have the disease, according to the Associated Press.

A student who attends the same school attended by a 4-year-old who died of enterovirus has been cleared of the disease, The Associated Press reports.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention determined the child didn’t have the disease, according to the report.

The child attends Yardville Elementary School, the same school attended by Eli Waller, the preschooler who died in his sleep despite not showing any symptoms.

Symptoms include cold-like symptoms and can wheezing and breathing problems.

As of Wednesday, there have been 18 confirmed cases of enterovirus in children in New Jersey, according to the report.
