Mercer Hospital Invites Local Artists To Submit Mural Designs For Pediatric Wings
Selected artists will be offered fair and competitive compensation, and their works will grace two locations of the hospital.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ – The Henry J. Austin Health Center is inviting artists local to the Trenton area to submit their mural designs that will be featured in the pediatric wings.
The hospital located in Trenton, seeks to enhance the healing environment of pediatric wings at the 321 N Warren Street location and 112 Ewing Street locations.
"We are seeking vibrant mural designs that capture the diversity of Trenton, promote a sense of community, and inspire a bright future for children,” the hospital said.

Artists can submit two original mural designs for consideration, showcasing their creativity and vision. The designs should align with Henry J. Austin Health Center's branding and colors, demonstrate their vision, and inspire the community to attain the highest quality of life.
The murals should be bright, positive, and engaging, capturing the attention and imagination of children.

The artist should also submit a statement outlining the inspiration and concept behind the designs. They should include their portfolio showcasing previous relevant work, and demonstrating their artistic ability and expertise.
Artists should also provide information on rates and availability for mural creation, including any contract requirements.
A committee of Henry J. Austin Health Center representatives will review all submissions and choose three artists to proceed to the final selection stage.
“From these three artists, 1-2 will be selected to create murals at our 321 N Warren Street and 112 Ewing Street locations,” the hospital said.
“The chosen artists will be selected based on their artistic excellence, alignment with the given themes, and ability to create visually engaging murals suitable for our pediatric wings.”
Selected artists will be offered fair and competitive compensation, in line with their experience and project scope. Detailed contract negotiations will also take place.
