Missing Person Found Dead In Baldplate Mountain Mercer County: Police
The missing person was found dead on Monday, Hopewell Police said. The joint search involved various local and state agencies.
MERCER COUNTY, NJ — A missing person search in Hopewell, ended with authorities finding the dead body of the person in the Baldplate Mountain area, Hopewell Police said.
On Monday, around 7:30 a.m. the Pennington Police Department received a missing person complaint. According to the report, the person was last seen on Aug. 18.
Hopewell Police and Pennington Police conducted a joint investigation and found the missing person’s vehicle unoccupied in the parking lot of Baldpate Mountain.

Immediate search efforts were put into action with various local agencies assisting in the search, including those with aerial and rough terrain capabilities.
The missing person was found dead, Hopewell Police said. According to authorities, there were no signs of foul play, however, the investigation is ongoing.

Authorities did not release the identity of the missing dead person.
Mercer County Prosecutors Office, Mercer County Sheriff’s Department, West Windsor Police, Lawrence Township Police, Hamilton Police, New Jersey State Police Aviation Unit and other agencies aided in the search.
