Multi-Car Crash Sends SUV Into Mercer County Home: Reports

A driver struck six cars, sending one into a home in Hamilton Township early Wednesday morning.

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A driver reportedly lost control of his car and slammed into six parked cars, one of which crashed into a house in Hamilton Township early Wednesday morning.

One person who was in the car suffered a leg injury, 6 ABC reports. Three other people were in the car, but no other injuries were reported. A small fire was started and several streets in the area were closed after an SUV was sent crashing into the home.

A neighbor whose car was hit told CBS 3 he felt his house shake and heard a boom at about 1 a.m. He saw a person lying in the street, and his son came running into the room yelling, "There's a car on the front porch!"

The cause of the crash wasn't immediately known. A representative from the Trenton Police Department, which is handling the investigation, wasn't immediately available to Patch Wednesday morning.

Over the weekend, two men were killed after a car went airborne and crashed into the second story of a Toms River business, according to police. That accident happened after a 2010 Porsche Boxster convertible struck a median while speeding and went airborne early Saturday morning.

Braden DeMartin, 22, and Daniel Foley, 23, both of Toms River were pronounced dead at the horrible scene where the car apparently crossed lanes of traffic and landed in the building, police said.
