New 4-Part Yoga and Mindfulness Course Helps Teens Thrive

BAMBU Yoga teams up with Serene Teen on weekly program that teaches students to combat stress and flourish during their high school years

Today’s teens face a variety of grown up challenges. It’s estimated that 20 per cent deal with mental health issues like anxiety, depression, and attention deficit disorder. Peer pressure, bullying, and academic challenges cause daily and sometimes debilitating stress. Even the most resilient kids can have difficulty coping with the rising responsibilities, raging hormones, and continuous battle to regulate emotions that accompany this volatile time of life.

BAMBU Yoga is pleased offer the Serene Teen Yoga and Mindfulness Course to adolescents in the Lawrenceville area and help them discover proven ways to combat stress and thrive. The four weekly 75 minute sessions introduce mindfulness and yoga practices in a dynamic, fun, and safe environment. Participants will learn strategies and skills for finding balance and sense of self during the turbulent high school years.

The series is led by Robin Schwoyer and Liz Fullen, co-founders of Serene Teen which offers advocacy, meditation, mindfulness, yoga & fitness classes, workshops, parent/teen retreats, school support, character building & self esteem programs in practical, joyful and empowering ways.

The series will be held at 4pm on Sundays from October 11 through November 1.
