NJ Man Who Ran Over Cop With ATV Arrested, Police Say
A search warrant of the man's home led to the discovery of multiple stolen and defaced firearms, high-capacity magazines and more.
EWING, NJ — A New Jersey man has been arrested and charged after a police officer was run over by an ATV in late May.
On Sunday, May 31, Ewing Police received multiple calls about ATVs "operating recklessly" throughout town.
At 5:30 p.m., an officer encountered a man, later identified as Desean Clark, 45, of Trenton, trying to fuel an ATV at the Delta Gas Station at 1513 Princeton Avenue.

The officer left his patrol vehicle and tried to stop Clark, at which time police said he drove over the officer.
The officer who was struck was brought to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and additional officers engaged in a short pursuit of the ATV before terminating the chase for safety reasons.

After an investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau of the Ewing Police Department, Clark was arrested and charged with aggravated assault on police, obstructing the administration of law, eluding with a vehicle causing a risk to others, assault by auto, disorderly conduct and multiple motor vehicle offenses.
Clark was apprehended by Ewing Police and the FBI on Wednesday.
Following his arrest, a search warrant was executed at his home in Trenton, where police said multiple stolen and defaced firearms, high-capacity magazines and armor-piercing ammunition were recovered.
Clark was additionally charged with possession of stolen firearms, possession of a defaced firearm, possession of armor-piercing ammunition, possession of high-capacity magazines, and certain persons not to possess firearms.
He is currently being held at the Mercer County Corrections Center, pending a detention hearing.
Investigation into the matter is ongoing, police said.
