Nurturing Nature Program for Mercer County Children 3-5 Years Old This Fall

There will be two sessions at the Tulpehaking Nature Center.

The Tulpehaking Nature Center will hold two sessions of the popular “Nurturing Nature” program, designed for children ages 3 to 5 years old and an accompanying parent or guardian, this fall.

The Mercer County Park Commission’s Teacher Naturalist, Christy Althmejvar, has put this program together to inspire and encourage children’s curiosity about the natural world that surrounds them.

Every week’s session will introduce a different theme relating to the changing and fleeting fall season, and include a story or experiment, an outdoor hike and a fun hands-on craft.

Each “Nurturing Nature” session takes place on Tuesday mornings from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Tulpehaking Nature Center and costs $45 per session.
