Painter, Calligrapher, Humanitarian: Lawrence HS Senior Wins Mercer Co. Achievement Award

The teen's work across Lawrence Township and the region earned her the 2026 Young Woman of Achievement designation from the county.

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ — A Lawrence High School senior who has dedicated herself to arts education, environmental advocacy and humanitarian service has been named a 2026 Young Woman of Achievement by the Mercer County Commission on the Status of Women.

Xintong Si was among the recipients honored at a countywide reception March 18, recognized alongside other exceptional students and community leaders from across Mercer County.

Xintong has volunteered at Slackwood Elementary School's United in Traditions Night and other arts events, sharing her talents in painting, calligraphy and drawing with younger students, the school district said.

Beyond Lawrence Township, she has worked with the Greater Princeton Alliance and the Alliance of Youth Leaders, supporting environmental initiatives, fundraisers and humanitarian efforts aligned with the mission to "Save a Life."

At Lawrence High School, Xintong is a member of the National Honor Society and is involved in numerous clubs and organizations, balancing academic excellence with an active commitment to community service, the district said.

The Young Woman of Achievement Award recognizes Mercer County high school students who demonstrate outstanding dedication to volunteerism and service.

Mercer County Executive Dan Benson applauded all of this year's recipients. "From education, to activism, to serving those in need, this year's outstanding awardees have had a significant positive impact on our community," Benson said. "They've given their time, energy, and care in service of others, and it is an honor to express our appreciation for all that they have accomplished."
