• Broncs' strong start continues, end non-conference play 4-1-1 (theridernews.com) — Rider men's soccer, based at Ben Cohen Field in Lawrenceville, has opened the season 4-1-1 after a tight 3-2 win over La Salle. Despite being outshot, the Broncs leaned on clutch goalkeeping and late-game composure, and they'll return to their Lawrenceville home pitch Sept. 19 to start conference play against Quinnipiac.
   

• Provost appoints Jason Vodicka as dean of WCMPA (theridernews.com) — Rider University has named longtime faculty member Jason Vodicka the first dean of its Westminster College of Media and Performing Arts, which is now based on the Lawrenceville campus. His appointment is meant to strengthen arts and media programs, expand donor support, and build new opportunities for students studying and performing just up the road from Lawrenceville neighborhoods.
