Reenactment of Colonel Edward Hand-Postponed until January 13th
The Reenactment of the Delaying Tactics of Colonel Edward Hand in Lawrence is postponed until January 13th at 10 A.M.

LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ — The annual Reenactment of the Colonel Edward Hand Historic March will now take place on Saturday, January 13, 2018 beginning at 10:00 am in the Lawrence Township Municipal Building (2207 Lawrence Road).
Colonel Hand as portrayed by Bill Agress to recreate the historical events that took place on January 2, 1777 when Colonel Edward Hand and his 1ST Pennsylvania Riflemen provided the successful delaying tactics that held off the British troops preceding the second Battle of Trenton.
After the address all will march from the Lawrence Municipal Building to the site where Colonel Hand held off the advances of the British, along the Shabukunk Creek adjacent to Notre Dame High School. There the raising of the flag of the 1ST Pennsylvania Riflemen followed by cannon firing.
