Reock and Roll Revue Brings Jackson Browne 'Running on Empty' Tribute Concert to MCCC's Kelsey Theatre July 16-17

Reock and Roll is set to make music history yet at again with its Jackson Browne tribute concert!

After five years of unforgettable concert events at Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre, Reock & Roll Revue is gearing up for another new show, this time in tribute to Jackson Browne and his best-selling "Running on Empty” album. There are two shows only: Saturday, July 16 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, July 17 at 2 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on the college's West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.

Reock & Roll's homage to Jackson Browne, one of the most influential songwriters of the last four decades, is divided into two parts. The group will first perform selected songs and present video footage and other historical material behind Browne’s first four albums. The second part of the show is reserved for Browne’s fifth album, “Running On Empty” (1977), which will be performed in its entirety.

Considered by many critics to be Jackson’s most accessible work, “Running on Empty” went on to be a fan favorite. In addition to tracks recorded on stage during concerts, it also features songs recorded in hotel rooms, on the tour bus, and backstage. Numbers include the title song, plus “You Love the Thunder,” “Cocaine” “Stay” and six other classics.
