The Faith Christian Counseling Center (FCCC) is sponsoring a Responsible Fatherhood Empowerment Conference to educate Fathers at Risk on the importance of their role and influence on their children’s lives. This full day Empowerment Conference will be held on Friday, October 10, 2014 from 8am until 3pm and includes a hearty breakfast and lunch.

The Faith Christian Counseling Center located in Beverly, NJ. FCCC provides Fatherhood Training in three Counties Mercer, Burlington, and Camden. It provides comprehensive and effective services which are life-enriching, wholly integrated, and consistent with positive beliefs and values. FCCC is helping Fathers get the skills they need to be involved in their children’s lives through National Fatherhood Initiative’s 24/7 Dad program. A group of 25 dads are going through a 12-session workshop that will give them the parenting, relationship and communication skills they need to be involved, responsible, and committed fathers. “I was inspired to call this Responsible Fatherhood Conference to order. I firmly believe that the educational components offered during this conference will help Fathers see the need to step-up and be productive in their role and provide a positive influence in the lives of their children,” Reverend Leroy Scott Program Director shared.

A powerfully inspiring, thought provoking and highly engaging message will be delivered by Darryl C. Walls, Founder & CEO of MINDS (Mental Intensity Naturally Determines Success) Leadership Consulting Firm. A father of two (Darryl C. II & Amara A. Walls), he is the creator of the Acces2Success (A2S) Leadership Program, co-author of two books titled “Leadership Defined” and “Conversations on Faith”, Certified Situational Leadership Trainer, Certified Anti-Bullying Trainer, and Leadership Columnist for The Essex Times Newspaper to name a few, and a familiar face on the speaking circuit. “MINDS LCF shares in the vision of Reverend Scott to address the father absence crisis in America with this transformational opportunity for any father to experience and it will cultivate their ability to lead and build meaningful relationships with their children and families,” said Mr. Walls.

The Responsible Fatherhood Workshop is also sponsored by the Mercer Council on Alcoholism and Drug Addiction. “We actively provide quality alcohol, tobacco and other drug abuse prevention and early intervention programs and services in partnership with individuals, families, schools, communities, businesses and professionals throughout Mercer County and this conference clearly supports our vision,” said Trenton Municipal Alliance Coordinator, Ian Smith.

The Honorable Mayor Eric Jackson has confirmed his attendance and is eagerly awaiting the opportunity to support the Faith Christian Counseling Center’s mission.
