Rider University Wrestling Match to be Televised Saturday on Comcast

On Saturday, Nov. 16, The Comcast Network will televise the Rider Universtiy-Penn State wrestling match live, beginning at 4 p.m. from Alumni Gymnasium. This is the first time in several years that a college wrestling match will be televised.

“We’re very excited to have our match with Penn State televised,” Rider’s head wrestling coach Gary Taylor says. “This is a wonderful opportunity to give Rider University and our wrestling team very positive exposure from Northern Virginia up to New England.”

On most cable networks, The Comcast Network can be found on channel 8 or channel 846 in high-definition (HD). On the Verizon System, it can be found on channel 99 in Philadelphia.

Last year Rider’s wrestling team finished runner-up in its final season in the Colonial Athletic Association and sent four wrestlers to Nationals. This year, Rider is competing in the Eastern Wrestling League (EWL) and begins the season with four wrestlers ranked among the top 32 in the nation.
