The Rose Group Names Tom Lowe Director of Operations
Former Area Director will now oversee 28 Applebee's stores in Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania
NEWTOWN, Pa. – Aug. 11, 2014 – The Rose Group, a leading franchisee of Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar and Corner Bakery Cafe restaurants, is pleased to announce that Tom Lowe has been named director of operations for the Maryland Eastern Shore, Baltimore, Chester County, Pa., Philadelphia County and Central New Jersey stores. Lowe was promoted from area director of Philadelphia County and Central New Jersey stores, a role he held for nine years.
As director of operations, Lowe will be responsible for managing all general managers and area directors in the designated regions. His primary responsibilities will be planning and directing all facets of restaurant operations, which includes sales building, guest-focused initiatives and financial oversight through progressive human resource strategies.
“Tom’s empowering leadership style and strong business knowledge will continue to support and strengthen our developmental culture,” said Bonnie Lippincott, vice president operations and Lowe’s former manager. “He creates a positive and fun working environment for his team to grow and thrive. With more than 27 years of restaurant management experience, including five years of owning his own restaurant and 11 years with The Rose Group, Lowe understands what it takes to operate successful restaurants. He also received the Area Director Operations Leadership Award twice in the past three years.
