253 Gifts Expected to be Delivered on December 13

The Salvation Army’s Trenton Citadel Corps expects a donation of more than 250 holiday gifts to the “Angels” of Trenton from The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). The gifts are to be delivered to Trenton’s Citadel Corps location on Tuesday, December 13, 2016. This donation will mark DEP’s sixth annual contribution to The Salvation Army’s Trenton Citadel Corps.
Donations will include assorted toys, games, bicycles, electronics, sporting goods, as well as essentials such as clothing, diapers, bedding and gift cards.
DEP Commissioner and former chairman of The Salvation Army Advisory Board of Greater New York, Bob Martin said, “I am proud of our very generous staff, for participating in the Angel Tree Program and understanding that the spirit of giving to those less fortunate is its own gift.”

“The Salvation Army thanks the DEP and everyone who will help us make Christmas brighter for more than 3,500 individuals in our community this season,” said Envoy Richard Pease, The Salvation Army Trenton Citadel Corps Officer & West Central Region Coordinator. “Without the support of our generous neighbors, The Salvation Army would not be able to help others.”
Donations like these help to support the various programs The Salvation Army runs year round. In addition to the wide range of Christmas programs, The Salvation Army serves the community through food pantries, soup kitchens, after-school programs, emergency shelters and much more.
