School Teacher Plans Protest for Donald Trump Appearance in Lawrenceville

A Princeton public school teacher is organizing a rally to protest Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s visit to Lawrenceville later this week, Planet Princeton reports.

Trump will appear at a fundraiser to help Gov. Chris Christie pay off his campaign debt in Lawrenceville on Thursday.

The event at the Lawrenceville National Guard Armory costs $200 to attend. Doors open at 5 p.m.

Martha Friend is organizing the protest for Central Park, across from the Armory, according to the report.

Her goal is a peaceful protest that shows Trump the community is about “caring and inclusion, rather than fear or ignorance.”

Christie was a presidential candidate until February, when he dropped out of the race following the New Hampshire Primary.

Two weeks after he dropped out, Christie endorsed Trump for president.

His campaign is over $200,000 in debt.
