Superintendent Of Lawrence Public Schools Announces Retirement
Ross Kasun has served as superintendent since 2018. His retirement will be effective Sept. 1.
LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ — Ross Kasun, the Superintendent of Lawrence Township Public Schools, announced his retirement in a letter to the community earlier this week.
Kasun’s retirement will be effective Sept. 1. He has served as superintendent since 2018.
In his letter, Kasun said he was filled with gratitude and pride for working in the district. “Working alongside such talented, dedicated professionals has been a privilege and an honor. Together, we have accomplished so much: improving student outcomes, expanding programs and services, and building a culture of excellence,” Kasun said.

“As much as I have enjoyed my time with the district, I know that it is time for me to move on and begin a new phase in my life. I leave knowing that the district is in good hands, with a committed and talented leadership team and staff who are dedicated to our students and their success.”
After leaving the school district, Kasun will be taking up a new role as product development specialist for an educational technology firm. In his new role, Kasun will be working with a team to create learning opportunities for students using virtual reality, augmented reality and artificial intelligence.

“As I prepare to embark on this new journey, I will always cherish the memories and friendships that I have made here. I will take with me the lessons I have learned, the experiences I have had, and the inspiration that comes from working with such exceptional colleagues,” Kasun said.
“The trust that Lawrence Township School District has placed in me has been one of my greatest inspirations. I hope that I have met and exceeded your expectations for a superintendent.”
According to Kasun, the Lawrence Township Board of Education has already started discussions on the process of selecting a new superintendent. They are expected to have a new superintendent in place before the start of the next school year.
