Suspect in Mercer County Woman's Murder Arrested in Lawrence Township
Tyron Lindsay was charged with the murder of Jessica Prusik Tuesday night.

A Hamilton Township man has been charged in connection with the murder of 38-year-old Jessica Prusik, Acting Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri and Hamilton Police Chief James W. Collins said on Wednesday.
Members of the Mercer County Homicide Task Force, the U.S. Marshals NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Hamilton Police Division arrested 38-year-old Tyron D. Lindsay while he was working on Tuesday night in Lawrence Township.
He was charged with first-degree murder following an investigation conducted by Detective Luis Vega, Detective Joe Ialacci, and the MCHTF.

Prusik’s body was found in a weeded area in Roebling Park off Sewell Streer just after 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 6. An autopsy conducted the same day determined she was murdered by manual strangulation.
During the course of the investigation, detectives were able to determine that Prusik was last seen with Lindsay, on Oct. 5.

Detectives were also able to place Lindsay and Prusik in a black 1992 Ford F150 extended cab. That truck was later discovered by police in Bristol, Pa.
Video surveillance depicts the truck heading toward Roebling Park on Oct. 6.
Investigators allegedly found Lindsay to be in possession of Prusik’s bank cards on Oct. 7, when he was arrested on unrelated warrants.
Lindsay’s bail was set at $1 million cash or bond.
Onofri and Collins extended their thanks to the public for their cooperation and understanding as law enforcement conducted its investigation.
