Upgraded Mercer County Sheriff's App Includes Coronavirus Alerts

The Mercer County Sheriff's Office has upgraded its app to allow residents to receive alerts from the CDC about coronavirus.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — A major upgrade in the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office’s app allows residents to hear broadcasts and rebroadcasts of Centers of Disease Control (CDC) alerts about new coronavirus, the sheriff’s office announced.

The app and the upgrade are available free for Android and iPhones. The upgraded app helps the public and local businesses stay current on information and resources on new coronavirus. The Mercer County Sheriff’s App is the first sheriff’s office in the state to roll out the added coronavirus information feature.

“The upgraded app will help the public receive fast breaking news and credible information from the CDC,” Mercer County Sheriff Jack Kemler said. “Please share the app with your family, friends, and neighbors, so they too can receive reliable news and alerts.”

Once downloaded, go to “Additional Resources” and click COVID-19. Noteworthy features include: news, senior citizen program information, emergency alerts, Sheriff’s sale information, crime tips, Trenton-Mercer Airport information, and the ever-popular Mercer’s Most Wanted list.
