Voorhees Man Charged In Lawrence Fatal Hit-And-Run: Prosecutor
Frank Claybrooks was charged with second-degree leaving the scene of an accident, Mercer County prosecutor said.

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ — A Voorhees man has been charged in connection with the crash that killed a pedestrian in Lawrence Township on Monday, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri and Lawrence Chief of Police Brian M. Caloiaro announced Wednesday.
Frank Claybrooks, 54, was charged with second-degree leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death and third-degree endangering an injured victim, Onofri said. He was processed and released pending future court proceedings.
Around 6:38 a.m. police said they received a call from a driver who informed them that a person was lying on the road in the area of Route 1 and Bakers Basin. Upon arrival, officers found that a pedestrian was fatally struck, police said. The pedestrian was later identified as Maria Angelica Moran-Moreira, 54, of Lawrenceville.

Onofri said detectives found area surveillance footage and spoke with witnesses. According to the investigation, Claybrooks was driving a flat-bed tractor-trailer making a right turn onto Route 1 from Bakers Basin Road when he struck Moran-Moreira around 5:55 a.m, Onofri said.
The investigation was conducted by Detectives Todd Caruso, Sean Kerins, and Joseph Radlinsky of the Lawrence Township Police Department and Detectives Natalie Martinez and Ryan Minnick of the prosecutor’s Serious Collision Response Team.
